The Queens Hat/Handbag Lesson Idea - Write a diary entry about the windswept hat or thieving swan!

Pupils at Littleport Primary School in Cambridgeshire each wrote a diary entry about what happened when the Queen lost her hat. This is a very simple and fun exercise in grammar. The diary entry doesn't necessarily have to be from The Queen's point of view. It can be from the point of view of a pirate that's lost his or her hat to the wind, a knight, a mermaid, or whatever you like!

Below are some of the brilliant diary entries written by pupils at Littleport Primary. You could apply the same activity to THE QUEEN'S HANDBAG, in which a thieving swan swoops off with The Queen's handbag (and, again, the object doesn't have to be a handbag).
