Reenact Please Mr Panda in your very own class play

Please Mr Panda is being reenacted in class plays.

I first discovered this when a teacher and bookseller at Nutshell Studios in Essex, Mrs Williams, told me that her class acted out the manners themed story to great effect in front of their school. And I've been told by some teachers in the States that they've had fun acting out the story after reading the book.

I haven't actually got any videos of the reenactments to post here, though I do know that some at-home videos can be found on YouTube.

It's a really straightforward activity, and you can even add other characters to the story if you want to include more pupils. What makes this really fun is giving the animals voices. I imagine that Mr Panda might have a deep, monotone voice, possibly even a bit grumpy-sounding!

Penguin possibly has a tiny voice and I bet Whale has a deep, booming voice. In every case it seems that Lemur has a very polite, often high-pitched, voice. Really, you can give the characters whatever kind of voices you like!

Or maybe, as the teacher, you'd like to play Mr Panda, like librarian Tim, in the picture below.

Whatever you do, the whole exercise is about having fun!

If you do reenact the story and you're able to post it online, let me know and I'll post it on this page!
